Responsible Gambling
Last updated: July 25, 2026
Bet within your means
- Only ever risk money you can comfortably afford to lose.
- Set a budget and a time limit before you start — and stick to them.
- Never chase losses. A losing run is not "due" to turn around.
- Don't gamble to escape stress, boredom or to make money you need.
- Don't gamble under the influence of alcohol or when upset.
- Take regular breaks and keep gambling a small part of your life.
Warning signs
Gambling may be becoming a problem if you: spend more than you planned, borrow money or sell things to gamble, lie about how much you gamble, feel anxious or guilty about it, or neglect work, study, family or friends because of it.
Getting help & self-exclusion
If gambling is affecting you or someone you know, free and confidential support is available:
- Gaming Commission of Ghana — the national regulator for responsible gambling: gc.gov.gh
- BeGambleAware — advice & a free helpline: begambleaware.org
- Gamblers Anonymous: gamblersanonymous.org
- GamCare — support & live chat: gamcare.org.uk
Because we are not a betting operator, self-exclusion from actual betting must be set up directly with your bookmaker or through the tools above. If you'd like us to close your Bet Academy account, just contact us.
Protecting minors
Our service is strictly for adults aged 18 and over. If you share a device with under-18s, please use parental controls and account passwords to prevent access.
